A controlled test release for Windows x64 and Linux x64. It is not a general public or Store launch. Price to be confirmed.

WHAT TO TEST

The complete preview-first path

  • Select an external source and a separate destination.
  • Preview and filter readable files before copying.
  • Select individual files and copy to a folder.
  • Review the local completion report.
  • On disposable data, test SHA-256 verification and Resume.
  • Test ZIP separately; verification and Resume do not apply to ZIP output.

KNOWN LIMITATIONS

What remains unfinished

  • The Windows direct package is not code-signed and may show SmartScreen.
  • Linux external tester verification remains outstanding.
  • The macOS candidate is not attached as an rc.5 download.
  • The product is not in the Microsoft Store or Apple App Store.
  • This release does not perform deleted-file or raw-sector recovery.

The source remains outside the write path.

Drive Rescue Assistant does not delete, format, repartition, repair or modify the source drive. Do not use it as the only recovery option for physically failing media. Stop and seek professional help if a drive clicks, repeatedly disconnects or is not detected reliably.
